GENEVA E. MARR, age 89 Somerset Center, passed away on Friday, June 15, 2012 at MagnumCare of Adrian.
She was born on November 1, 1922 in Van Dyke, Michigan to Peter and Minnie (Smith) Weber. She married Bill Marr and he preceded her in death on May 29, 1984. She enjoyed bowling at Brooklyn Lanes where she won many bowling trophys and took many trips with her bowling buddys. She was an avid softball player where she was a pitcher.
Geneva is survived by one son, Thomas Marr of Orangevale, CA, two daughters, Sherry L. LaMay of Somerset Center, Susan C. (Ronald L.) Prather of Kirksville, MO, four grandchildren, Roni Jean Robarge of Adrian, David R. LaMay of Somerset Center, Cory L. (Tabatha) Prather of Kirksville, MO, Joy Anna Marr of Sacramento, CA, seven great-grandchildren, Taylor M. Dabe, Brennen D. LaMay, Sari I. Gradeless, Lorena C. Gradeless, Noah S. Gradeless, Gabriel S. Gradeless, Rian J. Prather, one sister, Marie Mary Konarska of Romulus, MI, several nephews, nieces and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Marr, one son in law, Ronald R. LaMay, and two grandsons, Steven M. LaMay and Thomas Ryan Prather.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, June 16, 2012, at the Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home in Addison, with Samuel P. Gradeless officiating. Burial will take place in Highland Cemetery in Brooklyn. Visitation will be on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of the funeral at 1:00 PM. Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of Jackson.
