GERALDINE W. KISNER, age 81 of Manitou Beach, passed away on Friday, August 3, 2012 at the Hillsdale Community Health Center in Hillsdale, MI.
She was born on November 17, 1930 in Parsons, W. Virginia to Alvin and Louise (Ware) Bishoff. She married James C. Kisner on December 31, 1947 in Parson, W. Virginia, and he survives.
Geraldine lived her early life in W. Virginia and then she lived in the Manitou Beach area since 1950. She worked as a waitress for several years in area restaurants and then she was the head cook at the Devils Lake Yacht Club for many years. She loved to crochet, she loved to play the guitar, organ and piano and she loved cats.
Surviving are one daughter, Pamela (Kenneth) Summers of Alvordton, OH, one son, Stephen (Pamela) Kisner of Horton, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one brother, Roger (Marsha) Bishoff of St. George, W. Virginia, nephews, nieces and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, one granddaughter, Rachael Summers one brother, and two sisters.
Cremation has taken place. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at Dibble Cemetery, Wheatland Township, Hillsdale County, Michigan, with Pastor Kim Repp. Memorial contributions are suggested to your local Humane Society.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home in Addison.
